A speciality of Rhodes, takakia are baklava-like pastries made with a special olive oil based pastry, and filled with ground nuts, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove, and coated in olive oil and honey and toasted sesae seeds. The are also known as madinades or Apoloniatikos baklava on Rhodes, or sarmosaes on Kos.
