Átokos

A little islet for sailors

Atokos Island as see from the south

You’ll need your own boat to visit this private island in between Ithaki and Kástos, with its four beaches, cliffs, chapel and single house, in One House Bay on the east coast. There’s another anchorage in Cliff Byto the south.

Welcome sign on Atokos' One house bay, beach

The island, inhabited only by goats most of the time, although monk seals too have been spotted there, is a protected Natura 2000 site, and the waters around it are good for spotting dolphins. At the time of writing, it’s for sale for $40 million
