scrigno di Venere

ark shell or a tortellini timballo

Literally 'Venus' jewel box', also known in Italian as scafarche (Scapharca spp), it is a recent arrival from the Pacific to the Adriatic, and tastes delicious, too.

A scrigno di Venere can also be a timballo filled with tortellini, ragù, and bechamel sauce.
