pane di Lariano

Lazio country bread

A favourite in Rome these days: a dense loaf from the nearby village of Lariano, made with a mix of regular and whole wheat flour and baked in an oven with a chestnut wood fire.

Pane di Genzano, from another Lazio village, is much similar.
