Processione del Sabato Santo, Stilo

Specially made for the traditional Holy Thursday procession of the Gucciadate in Stilo, Calabria, this bread in the shape of a ciambella is placed high on a cane cross during a special ceremony, and then taken in a procession into the fields to protect the town's crops.
