The Bella or Ciliegia di Garbagna in Piedmont is in the Slow Food Presidium.

Other varieties include

ciligia duracina di Tarcento or tarcentina, tarcinka, tarcentuka: a smallish, juicy dark red cherry grown on the plain of Friuli, where cherries are called cjarsis.
