Museum pass

How to save a bit of money

Entrance to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum

There aren't many bargains in Venice, but the Museum Pass for 11 of the city's civic museums is a good one, and valid for six months after purchase. Unfortunately it doesn't include the Accademia, or the city's great private galleries such as the Peggy Guggenheim, Ca' d'Oro or the Fondazione Querini-Stampalia, or the Pinault contemporary art collections in the Palazzo Grassi and the Dogana di Mare.

The pass (€24.50 for adults, €18.50 for children age 6-14; students 15-25, and EU citizens over 65) does include:

Doge's Palace

Museo Correr

Museo Archeologico Nazionale

Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana

Ca' Rezzonico: Museum of 18th-Century Art

Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo

Carlo Goldoni's House

Ca' Pesaro: Internazional Gallery of Modern Art + Oriental Art Museum

Glass Museum - Murano

Lace Museum - Burano

Museum of Natural History
