vacherin cake

Vacherin the cheese is made in both France and Switzerland, and is best known as Mont d'Or.

A vacherin cake is made with discs of meringue filled with almond paste, fruit or ice cream and covered with crème Chantilly (ready-made ones are sold in the freezer section). It’s named after the cheese, which has the same shape and creamy colour.
