Alise Pacaude

Easter brioche from the Vendée

Alise Pacaude

Alise Pacaude (also known as pain de Pâques, galette pacaude) is a rich, flat, firm brioche flavoured with orange blossom water. In the Charente-Maritime they make something similar, with prunes, but in the Vendée they prefer it with jam.
