bonbons Loup

old fashioned sweets

Pieces and powder of raw gum arabic. Stacked from 9 images with Zerene Stacker.

Gum arabic (gomme d’acacia) goes into many sweet gummy treats but holds pride of place in the bonbons Loup made at the Confiserie Adam in Herrlisheim-près-Colmar, flavoured with eucaylptus, liquorice (Tipsal) or extra liquorice (Lakritzine).

The packaging used to brag about using 30% gomme d’acacia but as that mostly comes from war-torn Sudan, it’s not easy to come by anymore.

They also make full range of more kid-friendly sweets and dragées.
