bassotti

baked pasta and cheese

bassotti

Bassotti means basset hounds, but it's also dish from the Apennines of Romagna: tagliolini parboiled then baked with suet, breadcrumbs, pecorino and baked in a chicken and beef broth, with beaten eggs and more broth added towards the end to give it a golden crust.

Also bazot.
