Centrolophus niger. Also known as a rudderfish and blackfish in English, or* riciolla di fondale* in Italian, this a large pelagic fish that lives in many depths, especially off the coast of Liguria down to t over 1000m. Its lives on little shrimp and molluscs and has delicate, fatty white flesh, sometimes served raw.
