Soups in general, more popular in Greek winters than in summer. Many, like chortosoupa or vegetable soup, is similar to the vegetables soups made throughout the Med. But the Greeks also make some fairly unique soups, such as avgolémono and mageirítsa.

Kreatósoupa (κρεατόσουπα) is beef and vegetable soup, possibly with trachanás.
